ICF-CT Committees

Any active ICF-CT member can join one of our committees.  The following opportunities include:

Membership Committee

  • Attend meetings to greet guests, welcome newcomers, and assist new members with networking at monthly meetings
  • Contact prospective and new members by phone, email or at monthly meetings to recruit and/or welcome them to ICF-CT
  • Establish a method of recognizing new members at monthly meetings
  • Reach out to new members to ensure a smooth transition into the chapter
  • Answer questions about membership including the MAF and AAF programs.
  • Assist in the renewal process each Spring; contact non-renewed members to encourage renewed membership in ICF Global.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on website as relative to committee

Meeting Management Committee

  • Work with the location managers for each live event.
  • Greet and check in the registrants at each meeting.
  • Assist with Coach-to-Coach drawing and follow up.

Programs Committee

  • Seek out quality programs.
  • Manage the applications of program presenters.
  • Introduce presenters.
  • Work with meeting management to ensure a fluid relationship with the hosting site, the presenter, and the chapter attendees.

Website/ Newsletter Committee

  • Update the website with new material for event registration, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Seek out and create links for the resources page
  • Perform quality assurance checks on website as relative to committee

Marketing Committee

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plan to retain members and to identify and recruit potential members, within budget objectives as approved by the Board of Directors
  • Coordinate and manage printed materials, signage and other giveaway items.
  • Post to Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts to engage membership, find new interested parties, and to increase awareness of the chapter and its events.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on website as relative to committee

Nominations Committee

  • Assist with the annual nominations process for open seats on the Board of Directors
  • Attend Nominations Meeting to discuss potential nominees, then contacts all nominees to obtain official acceptance
  • Work with the Board of Directors to analyze standards of excellence and ethics, and investigates the approach of similar associations

Special Events Committee

Responsible for planning and coordinating logistics for networking and other special events

  • Find locations for consideration
  • Work with Meeting Management for contracts and meal options for event
  • Manage and coordinate the registration process for these events with ICF-CT staff
  • Prepare budgets for each event adhering to the budget objectives as approved by the Board of Directors
