Hi Fellow Coaches,
Fresh starts can happen at any time, and coaches encourage our clients (and ourselves) to see each day, each project, conversation, or moment of introspection as a new beginning – a rosy opportunity to become more aware, to practice, learn and grow – to embody a growth mindset.
September marks many new beginnings: the Jewish New Year, the Autumnal Equinox, independence days in more than 10 countries all over the world, and in Connecticut, the yearly transition from summer rhythms to ‘back to school’ mode. It calls ups up memories of seasonal clothes, notebooks (school supplies!), and excitement and nervousness in anticipation of new social connections (friends!), catching up with old pals, and new adventures in learning.
Board: During the summer months, your ICF- Board of Directors (link here) has been learning from your answers to the survey, preparing the 2021-22 Budget and our Chapter’s Activity Report to send to Global. The Board will be applying that learning during our September board retreat, where we will build on the fabulous work and positive culture of last year’s board, incorporating the voices of our newest board members to set goals and priorities for the coming year.
