The ICF-CT Chapter welcomes you to International Coaching Week!
Every year the International Coaching Federation celebrates International Coaching Week (ICW), during which ICF Members worldwide celebrate the power of professional coaching to positively impact individuals, organizations, communities and the world. For 2021, ICW will be held May 17-23.
This year the ICF’s theme for the week is, “Defying Challenging Times,” reflecting the past year’s unprecedented challenges and the role that coaches played in supporting our clients personally and professionally as they worked through them.
In conjunction with that theme, our Connecticut ICF chapter has created a series of virtual events during ICW, which we call “Learning from Challenging Times.” This series of panel discussions and meetings is particularly relevant for:
- Human Resources professionals and leaders
- Coaches who work with executives and HR professionals
Our week’s agenda is designed to create awareness of how professional coaching services can be leveraged by Human Resources to help adapt, rebuild and develop personal and professional strategies for the “new normal.”
- Participants from the HR community will gain an understanding of what professional coaches can offer to help them manage and even thrive during times of extreme change. In addition to sharing best practices and key learnings, you will learn how a “coaching mindset” can help you better support your executives and front-line employees.
- Coaches across all specialties can gain important insights into the unique situations that today’s workforce is facing both during and post-pandemic. The experience can help you improve your coaching practice.
Please check out our events, below. Most events are free of charge.

Figuring out the future or one’s next act was tough enough, and then along came COVID-19 and made the challenge even harder. As a result of the pandemic many of us have made new, good, bad, and ugly discoveries about ourselves. If we are honest with ourselves, we gained insights that can impact our futures at work, at play and in life overall. Whether we are talking retirement, transitions, rebooting, repotting, or rewiring is irrelevant. It is how you “do” the future that matters…not what you call it!
Rewiring can be done as many times as you want and at any age or stage of life. Even the smartest people need guidance to maneuver the journey. In this presentation we will talk about what rewiring is and the areas in our lives that can be rewired. There are no silver bullet formulas for success, whatever that means today; new tools and new thinking will be shared.
