| The ICF-CT Working Board gathered at the end of August at the beautiful Manor House in Norfolk, CT, for our annual retreat. We had so much fun reflecting, planning strategically, and deepening our commitment to ICF-CT and to you, our chapter members.
Our Key Priorities from the retreat to work on this programming year:
- Sustainability/Succession Planning and Financial Planning
- DEIB
- Member Engagement
- Strengthening the ICF-CT Brand
Looking Ahead
I am thrilled to share with you that Marta Koonz (PhD, PCC) has been appointed President-Elect for the 2024-2025 programming year. She graciously stepped into this role after a short stint as Credentialing Director and will continue to support that initiative as well. Please join me in giving her a very warm welcome!

Join us on September 18 at noon for a virtual Coach Café and enjoy conversation, Q/A and networking. This is a great, casual way to meet and “mingle” with your fellow chapter members. Free of charge, but please register at the link for the Zoom info.
| In-Person Program, September 27 | Evoke Awareness to Guide the Shift” with Monica Leggett, PCC
Following a networking breakfast, participants will join presenter Monica Leggett, PCC for an engaging and interactive in-person workshop, “Evoke Awareness to Guide the Shift.” Monica focuses on skills that lead to transformational coaching: a strong alliance with our clients, powerful questions, actively listening, and the tools to evoke awareness and shift our clients into high gear.
How do you shift your clients from Doubtful to Decisive? Come prepared to share your best stories of transformational coaching. Monica is a past ICF-CT President, certified mentor coach, and author of Doubtful to Decisive: Eight Steps to Get Unstuck and Take Action.

September 17th | Join Lynda Mettler, CT Chapter board member and IFS-informed coach, for her virtual presentation, Clearing the Path to a Coaching Presence at ICF-WA on Tuesday, September 17, 3:00-4:30 EDT. In this interactive presentation, you will discover your own distractions, and learn a simple technique to stay focused and engaged throughout the coaching session.
