Biography
Rama Iyer is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) coach with over 25 years of international experience in human resources business partnering, talent management and leadership development across six industries.
Rama is certified for Advanced HOGAN Interpretation, Everything DiSC Assessment, ADEPT-15 Assessment and ViaEDGE Learning Agility Assessment. She has deep experience coaching leaders in turning conflict into opportunity, creating business impact and leading through change. She also has expertise in coaching leaders in cross-cultural or global roles so they can build relationships and create value. Rama is an experienced coach for intact leadership teams, helping them at critical moments to become cohesive, set direction and navigate change.
Broad exposure to six industries ranging across consumer goods, life insurance, reinsurance, media/publishing, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications, has allowed Rama to build a strong agility in grasping business context quickly and integrating her expertise to help leaders drive business growth and solve complex issues. After close to two decades in HR business partner and leader roles, Rama decided to gain lateral center of excellence experience in organizational effectiveness and leadership development for eight years. This has given her a well-rounded experience and a deep understanding of the challenges HR leaders face. She translates these insights into intuition when she coaches HR leaders.
Rama holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from prestigious colleges in India like SRCC in Delhi University (bachelor’s in economics) and XLRI Jamshedpur (MBA). She also has a master’s degree in business economics of emerging markets from the University of Reading (United Kingdom). Rama is an alumna of the Talent Management Institute in the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School.
