November is Native American Heritage Month
|
Can you name the three museums devoted to Native American Heritage in Connecticut?
Did you know that museums all across the country are actively revising museum practices to incorporate the perspective of indigenous peoples? Many venerable institutions are revamping their values, practices, and staff training programs to engage in consultative and collaborative decision-making that includes Native Peoples every step of the way.
Why?
We invite you to explore the article, “What does it mean to decolonize a museum?” Just click on the link to our Resources List on our DEI page here. The article can be found 3rd line down under "Cultures."
