Message from our Chapter President
Dear ICF Connecticut Chapter Members,

As we approach Thanksgiving and the holiday season, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the spirit of gratitude. Behind every successful chapter is a team of dedicated volunteers and attendees. It is with heartfelt thanks that I recognize those who generously contribute their time and energy to make the ICF Connecticut Chapter a thriving community.

If you haven't already, check out our latest chapter initiative, "Give the Gift of Coaching." The ICF-CT Marketing Team has put together an incredible program, and it's back by popular demand with 35 coaches participating. You can support us by promoting it, or better yet, take advantage of it by scheduling your own coaching session. Click here for more.

Come celebrate the season with us at Cava on November 30th! We will kick off this social with a delicious dinner and a not-so-traditional GIFT CARD SWAP. And in the spirit of giving, we will be collecting in-kind donations for Homes for the Brave. Click here for more.

In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, it’s important to recognize the things we have to be grateful for. I want you to know how appreciative I am for each and every one of you—our valued volunteers and members of the ICF Connecticut Chapter. Thank you for being an essential part of the ICF Connecticut Chapter. Together, we can continue to create a supportive and empowering community for coaches and clients alike.

Cheers to a safe and wonderful holiday season!

Two fun items of note:

  • To kick off the holiday season, we will hold a Gift Card Swap at the party. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped (gift card box or envelope is fine) $20 gift card of your choice and join in the fun!
  • In the spirit of giving, we will be collecting in-kind donations for Homes for the Brave. Click here for their Top Needs Wish List. Please note that though the list is for 2022, the needs are the same for 2023.

Professional Enrichment Opportunity: December 1
Join us for “Applying Core Competencies to Promote Best Practices,” facilitated by member coaches Naomi Rafalowicz, PCC and Lynda Mettler, ACC. Elevate your coaching to the highest level by gaining mastery of the ICF core competencies, and earn 1.5 CCEUs. Open to chapter members only, and free of charge.

In these discussions, participants will examine two sub-competencies, considering their meaning, purpose and application using real-life coaching challenges. Participants will then divide into smaller groups to consider how the competencies can be applied to their own coaching challenges.

Gift of Coaching is Underway
Once again this year, many of our ICF-CT coaches are offering support at no charge to help you, or someone you refer, navigate holiday stress or address a specific challenge. If you did not register to offer coaching services, you can still sign up for a coaching session. To schedule a session, https://bit.ly/3Mv63Le for the list of coaches and their availability.
