How Can 60 Seconds Make You a Better Coach?
In this highly interactive presentation, Millie Grenough and her OASIS Team of ICF-CT members who are Certified Master OASIS Trainers will help you experience the reality that “In 60 seconds you can change your life” – and show you how to help your clients do the same.
ICF defines coaching as “Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” We aim to partner with you to make that definition real.
We will demonstrate how the OASIS Core Philosophy (latest neuroscience findings: You can rewire your own brain) and the OASIS 60-second Strategies provide practical ways to embody the ICF Core Competencies:
ü Co-Create the Relationship – establish Trust and Intimacy with the client, offer TOTAL (mind/body/emotion/spirit) Coaching Presence
ü Communicate Effectively – with HIGHLY-TUNED Active Listening, Powerful Questioning, and Direct Communication
ü Facilitate Learning and Results – Create TOTAL Awareness, Co-Design IMMEDIATE PRACTICAL Actions and Goals, and Manage Progress and Accountability – ENJOYABLY!
Coaches appreciate the usefulness of the OASIS Strategies, both for themselves and for their clients. An ICF-Approved CCE Provider since 2005, the OASIS Training Program now has Authorized OASIS Trainers throughout the USA, in Europe, Panama, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand. Our hope is that you leave this presentation with enhanced coaching confidence, practical science-based tools, and a flaming desire to use the tools immediately – for yourself, and with your clients.
Millie Grenough inspires people to do what they thought was impossible. She has coached non-singers to sing, shy people to present confidently, Type AA people to work smarter, and warring parties to work together.
Ex-nun turned nightclub singer, ex-shy Kentuckian turned international trainer, Millie walks her talk. After a near-death accident impacted her high-velocity lifestyle, she was forced to face her crazed pace. During recuperation she made two promises to herself: 1) find specific strategies to live a saner, more balanced life; 2) if the strategies worked, find ways to share them with her harried colleagues.
Millie kept both promises. Her OASIS in the Overwhelm: 60-second Strategies for Balance in a Busy World has helped thousands of people in all walks of life find greater peace, pleasure, and effectiveness; her Authorized OASIS Trainers have brought OASIS to four continents.
She brings heightened cultural awareness to her coaching from six years’ work with diverse populations in Latin America and Europe, and decades of work in the USA. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she loves coaching athletes, CEOs, clergy, coaches, health providers, performers, prison inmates, and university deans. Millie’s trainings with Thich Nhat Hanh, Ilana Rubenfeld, Jon Kabat-Zinn and Francine Shapiro continue to influence her on a daily basis.
ICF-PCC, 2010 CT Coach of the Year, one of ten people worldwide named Master Rubenfeld Synergist by body/mind pioneer Ilana Rubenfeld, Certified in Gestalt Therapy and in EMDR with a specialty in Performance Enhancement, author of ten books, Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, Millie is a wife, stepmom, grandmother, hiker and biker.
