Hello Coaches & Friends,
What a great meeting on May 31! Thanks to all who attended.
This is a big month for our chapter – we celebrate the wins, mark the end of our fiscal year and begin the transition with a new board. Over the next month the board will evaluate “What Went Well,” look for gaps and opportunities, and identify our strategic plan for the new year.
Today, I want to thank everyone who has been so instrumental in our award-winning year: the Board of Directors, the committee members, our VA Kathy, as well as our chapter members and guests. We have a wealth of talent and heart in our chapter and I’ve been honored to be a witness to all that has transpired for the last 10 years since I joined the chapter.
My sincerest thanks go to outgoing President, Margaret Ruff. She has been an outstanding role model of leadership for our board this year, and a great mentor and friend. Rolling off the board (but not gone!) are:
Dina Markind, Past President (2016-2017) and most recently our Secretary for 2 years.
Diana Ackerley, Past President (2017-2018) and Wilton Coach Café co-leader.
Larry Ackerman, Marketing Chair (2017-2019).
The three of you will be sorely missed AND we wish you well in your life and your business.
We welcome to the board Lauren Krasnow, Secretary, Karen Needham and Brian Clate, Programs Co-Chairs, and Matt Cross, Virtual Meeting Management. We can look forward to learning more about them at the meetings and through upcoming spotlight articles.
Continuing in their current roles: Karen McLaughlin, Treasurer, Steve Porcaro, Technology Chair, Suzanne Kennard, Membership, and Jami Bertini, Meeting Management. Judy Garfinkel is shifting from Virtual Meeting Management to President Elect. I look forward to working closely with Judy in the coming year.
We gave out two awards at our annual luncheon:
- Outstanding Chapter Contributor went to Stephanie Tishler who has been a dedicated member of the marketing team and helps with the weekly newsletters and social media.
- Emerging Chapter Leader went to Rachel Roth who has created and led three Coaching Circles for the chapter (free webinars for chapter members held every few months). She will also be our September presenter.
Well done both of you! Our Chapter is stronger with you two in it!
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing the highlights for our chapter and unveiling new programs and opportunities to get involved. One change is that we have added a new location in Hartford for our October and April meetings at the Town & County Club. We will also be rolling out more coach cafés in the Hartford area, Stamford, and Milford. If you want to get involved or learn a new skill, let us know and we’ll find a way for it to happen!
Have a wonderful summer and consider registering for our webinars on June 28th, July 26th, and August 23rd. We’ll see you back in Shelton on September 27th.
