This month's spotlight is on Sharon Jacobson, who is a Programs Committee Member.
Who am I?
Greetings Everyone! My name is Sharon Jacobson. I’ve spent my life in the tri-state area: born and raised in New Jersey, moved to New York to begin and evolve my career, and finally settled in Westport 20 years ago with my husband Mike, and our three Cocker Spaniels, Dora, BeBe and Maxx. I fell in love with Connecticut and have never looked back!
When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, gardening and most of all, the beach. Spending time at the beach centers me and gives me space to think and process what’s happening in my life.
What do I do?
I began my career in Retail Management and progressed to Learning and Development at Eileen Fisher. I had the good fortune to be able to coach senior leaders within the organization to manage company changes; realize their strengths; and develop team and thought leaders in the company. This sparked my passion for coaching! I have my CPCC from the Co-Active Training Institute as well as an Enneagram accreditation from Integrative Enneagram Solutions. In 2019, I branched out and began my own Leadership Coaching practice, called Reset Coaching. I focus on re-setting, re-aligning and re-creating the path forward for my clients so they can achieve their goals and dreams.
What am I passionate about?
I’m passionate about coaching clients to achieve their big picture goals. In today’s professional world, now more than ever, you need to be aware of what’s needed in the moment and have the awareness to respond with a wide range of creative choices. Connecting with a client and realizing the potential they embody is deeply gratifying to me. Building a strong connection with the client, and witnessing their successes, no matter how big or small, reminds me what is most satisfying and energizing to me about coaching.
Another passion is being a life-long learner. I believe that continuing to grow and develop is essential to personal development and fulfillment.
What are you most hopeful for in the coming year?
I’m hopeful that the distribution of the Covid 19 vaccines will help a devastating situation and provide the opportunity to be, once again, in-person with associates, clients, and loved ones. It’s been a long eleven months. I’ve missed the energy and happiness that these interactions evoke in me!
