President's Message from Judy Garfinkel

Judy Garfinkel | Published on 8/3/2021

Dear Fellow Coaches,

An exciting and rewarding aspect of being a coach is entering into exploration with our clients. No matter our niche or level of experience, as ICF coaches we explore mindset, possibilities, and actions within each unique coaching partnership. We are adventurers in the unknown, grounded in our competencies and coaching skills, open and ready to travel (inward and outward) - wherever needed, responsive to our clients in the moment.

What are you up to this month in the spirit of adventure and exploration? Are you spending this August venturing out into new places or looking inward to develop greater use of self? Are you kicking back on a beach nearby with a book that takes you into new realms? I’m investigating restaurants, shops, parks and the people in my new neighborhood.

Here at ICF-CT, your new 2021-22 Board of Directors is planning high quality professional development offerings, looking into a variety of locations for in-person chapter meetings and percolating ideas for social events. We are looking forward to adventurous learning and connecting with you!

Some ways to get going:

  • Experiment with powerful questions(thank you for sending this, Larry Ackerman).
  • Check out the full August and September Events Calendar for in-person and virtual possibilities. Psst – your next adventure could involve goats…
  • Chart your course to ICF credentialing - ask your questions at Q & A with ICF Global.

  • Reach out to me or any board member to inquire about volunteer possibilities. We   want you because you are what makes us.

I wish you happy August spelunking, jumping, perusing, questioning, hiking, flying, reading, meditating, studying, writing, sharing, researching, tasting, improvising, and COACHING!

Believing in you,

Judy
